Tracey is the owner and operator of Service First Solutions, a roofing consulting company that specializes in growing commercial roofing companies by focusing on their service departments.


Tracey first began in the roofing industry for KPost Company, a large well known commercial roofer in Dallas. Tracey started as a service technician but quickly moved through positions before ultimately serving as Vice President of Services. Over his fifteen-year career, Tracey and his teammates were able to grow from three service trucks servicing the DFW area to twenty-five service trucks. By focusing on high quality customer service, repeatable procedures, and a dedicated staff, Tracey’s service team took yearly revenue from $800,000 to $8.5M with a 40% growth in GM.


Tracey has worked hard to grow outside of his employment as well. He is a graduate of NRCA’s Future Executive Institute (Class 5). He also served on the Board of Directors for the Midwest Roofing Contractors Association and co-founded the MRCA’s Young Contractors’ Council while serving on that board. Tracey has previously spoken at the International Roofing Expo, Best of Success, and the MRCA ConExpo.


Before he began in roofing, Tracey earned his B.A. from the University of Iowa. While there, he met the love of his life, Karen. Today their happy family includes two daughters, five dogs, and the promise of many more dogs to come.
