Don Wood is a husband and father, business owner and author. He loves influencing the next generation of leaders.
He founded Suncoast Claims Inc., a public adjusting firm in Texas that represents policyholders and operates in multiple states, now operated by Karl Wood. He is the inventor of the American Sentinel – a device that provides real-time alerts of property damage such as hail, high wind, roof uplift, or seismic activity – www.smartrooftech.com.
He is a Founding Board Advisor to the American Policyholder Association, a national consumer advocate organization that exposes corruption by property insurers.He is a past President of the Texas Association of Public Insurance Adjusters, member of the Windstorm Network, the International Code Council, a former Registered General Contractor, and a member of the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE).
He has taught industry Continuing Education courses in Texas and New York and has been published by ASPE on estimating and the New York Bar Journal on depreciation on Hurricane Sandy claims. His work has been instrumental in the settlement of hundreds of millions of dollars of disputed property insurance claims in Texas and other states.
In other arenas, Don is the author of a major work, Fatherpower® – Generational Leadership (www.fatherpower.com). He is a History and Bible major – PreSeminary - BA ’71 (SEU, Lakeland, Florida). He supports iVoterGuide, True Texas Project, and many churches, prayer groups, and non-profits. Currently Don is writing “Why AD68 Matters,” “Accelerating Christian Growth,” “Generations at the Gates of Power,” “Solving Claims Problems” “Genesis and Time Dilation – A Physicist and a Poet Walk into a Bar,” and other works.

The Storm Restoration Contractor Summit is for contractors who handle storm damage claims. It was started in 2013 by April Hall. The SRC Summit is geared toward best business practices in the insurance restoration industry. You’ll hear from expert speakers, breakout sessions and have the chance to meet the vendors.

Your ticket should be purchased online or by phone before the event starts. You will get a much better deal by pre-registering early. Ticket prices increase as we get closer to the event. If you need to buy your ticket the day of is full price: $1,000 general admission. $1,500 VIP, and $1795 VIP Platinum.

No, unfortunately we cannot offer any refunds. All event ticket sales are final. Once the seat is sold it’s been taken out of inventory and we can’t resell it. (Just like a concert) We can transfer it to the next SRC Summit for a small fee.

YES. We have a room block that is available onsite at the Embassy Suites. The room rate is $157/night + applicable taxes. The group block expires on or before Dec 29, 2023. You must reserve your room with a card through our booking link. It won’t be charged till 24 hours before your check in. It is a first come first serve basis. There are not enough rooms to house the entire SRC Summit. Make sure to reserve your room early. Additionally, there are several neighboring hotels for booking once the Embassy Suites block is full. No, we ask that you do not record any of the conference sessions. We have hired professionals to record all sessions and these recordings are available for purchase. If you purchase VIP or VIP Platinum it is included in your package.
We offer Group Rates. Simply update General Admission Tickets and the rates populate. Or call direct 833-937-8676. We have VIP package add-ons that are also available. If a vendor provides a coupon code it will be applied to the current rate and not reflected in already discounted group pricing.
No Meals are offered on the 9th. The main event is the 10-11th where we will be serving food for these ticket holders. VIP and VIP Platinum include VIP Breakfast & lunch on Jan 10-11th. General Admission receive a lunch on Jan 10th, not on the 11th. If you stay onsite the Embassy Suites it includes breakfast. The hotel has an onsite restaurant and snack bar. There are also plenty of restaurants close by. Uber eats is also a popular option.
Wear what makes you comfortable. Most choose to dress business casual. Men- Jeans and a button down or company polo. Women- Dresses, skirts, slacks, jeans and company shirts are always welcome. It's always good to bring a sport coat or sweater in case the Air Conditioning is extra chilly, and definitely bring a comfy pair of shoes as you will be walking around during the event.
No-Show: No refund will be provided if Customer fails to both 1) attend the confirmed event and 2) obtain advance written notice as to transfer their ticket to another event.
